    We invite you to read this Privacy Notice for personal data processing (hereinafter 'Privacy Notice') before providing us with any personal data, as it contains important information about how your personal data will be handled and the protection we guarantee to anyone visiting our site.

    Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the legislative provisions of EU Regulation 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter “ GDPR ”), Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018 (“Privacy Code“), and the confidentiality obligations provided therein. Specific security measures are in place to prevent data loss, unlawful or incorrect use, and unauthorized access.

    1. Definitions of “processing” and “data subject”
    Below we provide some definitions that we believe may be useful. Processing of personal data refers to any operation or set of operations, performed with or without the aid of automated processes and applied to personal data or sets of personal data (e.g., collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, communication by transmission or any other form of making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction). A data subject is any individual to whom the personal data being processed refers.
    2. Who is the Data Controller?
    Daicar Rent S.r.l., tax code and VAT no. 14649991008, with registered office at Via del Porto Fluviale, 1C, 00154, Rome (RM), is the data controller as it determines the purposes and means of processing your personal data (the ”Controller”). For communications related to this Privacy Notice or any questions regarding the processing of your personal data by the Controller, please email privacy@ideal-rent.com.
    3. What personal data is processed?
    The personal data we process are as follows (the ”Personal Data”):
  • Cookies: Information about cookies is available at the following link.
  • Browsing and interaction data: the computer systems and software procedures used to operate the Site acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified individuals, but by its very nature could, through processing and associations with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the Site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters related to the user's operating system and computer environment. These data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the Site to check its correct functioning, to identify anomalies and/or abuses; in any case, they are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the Site or third parties. Only if you provide your consent by filling out a form on the Site to request a Service will some browsing data be collected along with the data you provide. In addition to the cookies mentioned above, we may use third-party services that have so-called beacons, small images used to monitor user activity on websites or for email tracking.
    • Data you provide: The data you voluntarily communicate to us through the Site or other communication channels such as an identifier, for example, name, identification number, online identifier (username), contact details or any data suitable to identify you or make you identifiable, which you wish to enter on the Site or which, based on your request, will be transmitted to us by third parties (e.g., social media, third-party sites). We invite you not to include information that may fall into special categories of personal data as defined in Article 9 of the GDPR (”[…] personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data intended to uniquely identify a natural person, data concerning health or a person's sex life or sexual orientation”). You are in any case responsible for the contents you communicate to us and indemnify the Controller from any liability related to such contents.
    4. What are the purposes of the processing?
    Your Personal Data may be processed, with your consent where necessary, for the following purposes, where applicable:
    4.1 to allow navigation of the Site and manage the security of the Site;
    4.2 to contact you following your request for information or activation of the Services (e.g., demo request);
    4.3 to comply with any obligations under current laws, regulations, or community legislation, or to comply with any requests from authorities;
    4.4 to send you communications via email for services or products similar to those requested, pursuant to Article 130, paragraph 4 of the Privacy Code, without prejudice to your right to expressly refuse such communications;
    4.5 to send you promotional and marketing communications, including newsletters and market research, through automated tools (prerecorded calls, email, push fax, SMS, MMS, or other messaging services and VOIP) and non-automated tools (postal mail, telephone with operator) provided you have consented; please note that we collect a single consent for the marketing purposes described here (pursuant to the General Measure of the Data Protection Authority ”Guidelines on promotional activities and anti-spam” of July 4, 2013) but if you wish to object to the processing of your data for marketing purposes carried out with all or some of the means indicated here, you can do so at any time by sending an email to privacy@ideal-rent.com, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given before the revocation;
    4.6 comunicare i tuoi Dati Personali ad altre società del Gruppo Daicar per l’invio da parte loro di comunicazioni promozionali e di marketing, incluso l’invio di newsletter e ricerche di mercato, attraverso strumenti automatizzati (telefonate preregistrate, email, push fax, sms, mms, o di altri servizi di messaggistica e VOIP) e non (posta cartacea, telefono con operatore).
    4.7 per scopi statistici, in forma completamente anonima ed aggregata senza che sia possibile risalire alla tua identità
    5. What is the legal basis and nature of the processing?
    Your Personal Data may be processed: 5.1 for the purposes referred to in points 4.1 and 4.2, pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letter b) of the GDPR (”[…] processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract”), as the processing is necessary to provide you with our Services. Providing Personal Data for these purposes is optional, but failure to provide them would make it impossible to use the requested Services;
    5.2 for the purposes referred to in point 4.3, pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letter c) of the GDPR (”[…] processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject”). Once Personal Data has been provided, the processing is indeed necessary to comply with legal obligations to which the Controller is subject;
    5.3 5.3 for the purposes referred to in point 4.4, pursuant to Article 130, paragraph 4 of the Privacy Code, which allows the Controller not to request your consent, if it uses the email address you provided when purchasing a Service, as long as the communication concerns similar services to those you requested and provided you have not stated that you do not wish to receive such communications;
    5.4 for marketing purposes and communication to Daicar Group companies as described in points 4.5 and 4.6 following your consent pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a) of the GDPR (”[…] the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes”). Providing your Personal Data for marketing purposes is not mandatory and does not affect the use of the Services.
    The processing referred to in point 4.7 is not performed on personal data and therefore can be freely carried out by the Controller.
    6. Who are the recipients of the Personal Data?
    6.1 We may share some of your Personal Data with entities acting as data processors pursuant to Article 29 of the Privacy Code and Article 28 of the GDPR, namely: (i) entities delegated to perform technical maintenance activities, and (ii) service providers used by the Controller to achieve the purposes of point 4 (e.g., app developers and server hosting service providers, mailing list sending services, electronic communication systems, chatbots, data accuracy verification services); always respecting the principle of minimization, limiting processing to only the data strictly necessary to achieve the specific purpose.
    6.2 We may also share your Personal Data with companies in the Daicar Group, limited to the pursuit of the purposes of point 4.6, subject to your explicit consent (as better specified in point 5).
    6.3 Finally, your Personal Data will be communicated by the Controller to entities, bodies, or authorities to whom communication is mandatory by law or authority orders. These entities are collectively referred to as ”Recipients.” The full list of data processors is available upon written request to the contacts indicated in point 11.
    7. How long is Personal Data retained?
    7.1 Personal data processed for the purposes of points 4.1 and 4.2 will be retained for the time strictly necessary to achieve those same purposes and, in any case, no longer than 6 months from communication.
    7.2 Personal data processed for the purposes of point 4.3 will be retained for the time provided by the specific obligation or applicable legal norm.
    7.3 Personal data for the purposes referred to in section 4.4 will be processed until you object to the processing or withdraw your consent.
    7.4 Personal data will be processed for the purposes referred to in points 4.5 and 4.6 for a period not exceeding 2 years from collection.
    8. What are your rights?
    Under Chapter III of the GDPR, you have the right at any time to request access to your data, deletion, updating, transformation into anonymous form, to object to processing in the cases provided for in Article 21 of the GDPR, to request the limitation of processing in the cases provided for in Article 18 of the GDPR, where technically possible, as well as to obtain in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format the data concerning you, in the cases provided for in Article 20 of the GDPR. You can exercise the above rights by sending a request to the Controller via email to privacy@ideal-rent.com without any formalities. A response will be provided without delay. In any case, you always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, pursuant to Article 77 of the GDPR, if you believe that the processing of your data is contrary to the privacy regulations in force.
    9. Are my Personal Data transferred abroad?
    We tend to choose suppliers, apps, and solutions that allow us to keep data within the European Union; however, some services are offered by providers based in third countries and operating from these countries. In these cases, we ensure that there are guarantees for compliance with GDPR principles through the signing of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

    We invite you to periodically visit this section to become aware of any changes or updates to this Privacy Notice that may be required due to changes in data processing or applicable regulations, so you are always aware of how we manage your data. In any case, we will promptly notify you of any changes.
